I make coats using Indian Kantha quilts. I make scarves & purses with the scraps. These are lightweight so you could wear it indoors, too. This is 12 by 70 . Kantha cloth is layers of bright cotton sewn together in rows. It's a primitive fabric so there may be dye flaws. If there is a hole, they hand sew a patch right on top of it. I blanket stitched all the seams & edges. So many patterns, so each is one of a kind.
