New (without tags—never worn, received as gift), men’s size medium anthracite-colored PrimaLoft Silver-filled nylon/taffeta vest for layering in cold conditions or use as a top layer in somewhat warmer conditions. In addition to the wind proof construction of the vest, the vest also features vents/ventilation to prevent overheating (when appropriate), yet it maintains warmth when needed. The outer layer of the vest and the PrimaLoft Silver insulation are water-repellant; the latter being a lightweight filling that insulates like down—to quote EMS it provides “warmth without [the] bulk.” When space is at a premium in your luggage (or you want to remove the vest but have nowhere to hang it up), the vest is condensable into a small cube (approximately) sized pack by tucking the vest into itself by use of the “packing pocket” located on the inside of the vest along the right edge of the zipper.
