This lovely suit is from the 1980's. 70% triacetate, 30% polyester. Dry clean. The open unlined jacket has scalloped edges down front, collar and hem. Front pockets. Shoulder pads are tacked in so could be removed. The pants have scalloped edge on the wide elastic waist. Marked size 14, approximately today's 8. The jacket measures 24 long. 17 across the top of the shoulders. 24 sleeves. Laying flat seam to seam it's 20 across under the arms, 20 at the waist, 23 at the hem. The pants have a 31 inseam, 15 rise to the top and 13 under the elastic band. Laying flat un-stretched they're 14 1/2 across at the waist, 21 1/2 at the hips. The pants tiny scalloped ruff cut hem. Nothing to let out. I assume that is how they were made. They may have been cut but it's very even. I can't be sure. Both pieces have their original tags attached from Miller & Rhoads.
