Here we have a beautiful, signed, Castlecliff, hinged, cuff bracelet, created in a carved and embossed, gold-tone metal. The bracelet is a hollow, domed and tapered design. Castlecliff was founded by Clifford Burst and Joseph Bobley in New York City and continued from 1918-1977. The Castlecliff mark was not used until 1941. In the 1970s Castlecliff became part of Carnegie Industries Co. and in the 1980s the company became part of Lucien Piccard Industries. One of their designers was the famous Lawrence Vrba, who worked for Castlecliff from 1970 through 1972. Their jewelry was considered well made and sold in better department stores.
