This is a fairly scarce,nice, clean & running old Ansonia. It winds, Sets and runs.
I found a picture of it in Roy Ehrhardt's reprint of Col. Townsend's Dollar watch book on Page 59.Made in 1915.
There is a very similar model with the same A in a square called the Mentor,but the numbers are not in Bold style.
The front and the rear bezels pry's off.It has a glass beveled crystal.
The dial is paper type white and the Hands are black and they are in great condition.
It was in storage for about 50 Years and would not run. I oiled the pivots and removed the dial and oiled the pivots on the dial plate and it will run now.
