14K yellow gold bypass ring with a very unique modern design and a round cut, pale blue spinel set with 4 prongs. From the marks inside, it seems it was intended to be worn with the three swirls on the top, but it looks equally good worn the other way, although that direction is best on the right hand because of where the stone is placed. Very solid and well made and in excellent vintage condition. Gold has wear consistent with gentle use; the stone looks excellent under magnification.
♦ Dimensions: Ring is a size 6 (16.5 mm inner diameter) but because of the way it's shaped, there is a bit of leeway. I can wear it and I'm closer to a size 6.75. Spinel is 4 mm, about .2 carats. Weight is 3.3 grams.
♦ Markings: 14K LMD (cannot find any info on this maker).
