A dramatic Ranger buckle set from Silver Cloud, Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded in 1975 by owner and designer Charles Springer, the company's current focus is providing jewelry designers and companies quality castings in precious metals in the US and Canada. This set is vintage, but research though I might, I could not determine whether this set was designed by Springer himself or an unknown artist. Nor could I find a set like this anywhere online....or even comparable. So, even though I found this to be a striking set to begin with, the mystery makes it even more special...albeit in a frustrating way. The buckle measures 2 1/2 long x 1 3/4 at the widest. The keepers are 1 high x 1/2 wide x 9/16 deep & the belt tip is 1 wide x 3/4 at the tallest. All of the pieces are mounted on a sturdy hand crafted leather belt from Cordon Y Cuero, a local shop here in Taos, NM, which will fit a waist from 37 -42 . In very nice vintage condition with age appropriate wear.
