This listing is for a super fun mid century handkerchief featuring a 1957 calendar surrounded by a rooftop cityscape and a chimney sweep within that landscape. With the angular design and strong color palette this hankie is quite bold.
Made of fine, delicate fabric (it might be linen/cotton blend), this piece measures about 13” sq. Its edges are hand rolled. There is a designer's name/signature in the lower right corner, but it is too tiny/unclear for me to read. The hankie is in very nice vintage condition with no flaws to report, except for very minor manufacturing/printing imperfections. Since some of the text is in French, I am wondering whether this piece was a souvenir from France. The use of imagery also contributed to this guess. :-)
