SYNOPSIS: 1833 2-volumes, leather bound, complete title: The Protestant. Essays on the Principal Point of Controversy between the church of Rome and the Reformed. Second American From the Ninth Glasgow Edition. Volumes 1 and 2. By William M'Gavin, Esq.

Publisher: Hartford-Hutchison and Dwier, 1833.

Format: Leather.

Condition: POOR. A collectible set only, too fragile to use for reading, although all pages appear to be intact, totally legible, and remarkably, mostly bound. Front cover of Vol. 1 is loose, barely still bound at top edge. Frontispiece illustration (Spanish Inquisition) on Vol. 2 loose and laid-in Would recommend handling both volumes with much care. Hopefully the numerous pics will reveal condition due to age. These have been in a minister's library for a few decades on display, but before that, not sure where they came from. Illustrated. Proceeds to be donated to other ministries.
