WW1 photo of a medical officer in period frame photo is 7x9 inch , when framed 11”in.x 10 1/2”in. X 1 1/2”in.
Purchased at an estate auction this person is unidentified soldier from WW1, in a period flip frame that is original, the glass has been replaced with no glare sun and fade protected plastic and although we tried to keep the original cardboard back, it has disintegrated to the point we had to replace with new cardboard and attempted to keep as much as possible the original cardboard, whic still bares the size and framing company name. The frame is a flip frame and is in better than expected condition , with only paint loss in certain areas. It says distinctive pictures by lambert.
As you may expect ,the pictures, especially officers,are scarce ,nd they do not make them anymore. Very good condition photo with out of view loss on bottom. This is definitely a investment in history, that will only increase in time.
