This is an antique toothpick holder featuring a top hat with three terriers (or pugs) peeking out of the opening. This could also be a match safe/striker, as the base is the perfect texture for striking a match. The color is a beautiful sage green. This delightfully whimsical piece is signed on the back C.D. Kenny Co. , and under that, Austria . Kenny was a wholesale distributor of tea and coffee products from 1867 to 1939, out of Baltimore, Maryland. Height: 3 3/16 inches. Condition is very good with glaze misses on the back rim and front base (not chips in the porcelain). This small piece has loads of character and would make a fine addition to any dog or toothpick/match safe collection. Price Drop: was 58.
