Set of 2 plates 8 3/8 inch diameter in series “Game Birds” oval cream (Johnson Brothers also have white and a round series same name), and they look round but very slight oblong style and other part of dinnerware are quite obviously oval. Wild Turkey and Woodcock featured and are hand engraved and decorated under glaze on Ironstone. The Woodcock plate has light crazing and shown best in final photo but at a glance is difficult to see. Otherwise in very good condition with no actual damage or scratches and color maintained due to the glaze top coat. This exact series is a little harder to find then the white or round and more valuable, especially the Wild Turkey. Discontinued circa 1953-1976, made in England.
