This is a jar to hold dried tobacco until it's time to roll a cigar, or use it to stash your favorite candy or keep spare change.
This jar is well made, with no cracks or chips. May have a bit of crazing. The inside is clean but does have a few tiny spots on the inside of the jar (see photo) that I believe they are small raised parts of the pottery that became part of the finish. But that's my opinion. Overall, it is a very nice piece of pottery. Someone tried to clean the lid (see photo above), but since it was that way when I bought it, I left it as is. Located on the bottom of the jar you will find written Handpainted Delft Blue Holland.
It is a cool jar that I have enjoyed but it's time for a new home where it will continue to be appreciated.
