This gorgeous music box hailing from Sorrento, Italy was hand crafted by the Paturzo Giovanni artisan studios. It features the art of inlaid woods, which is a Sorrento tradition dating as early as the 17th century, though this box was most likely picked up in Italy in the 1970s. The box features the song Come Back to Sorrento and is in great working condition! The inside is lined with a red velvet material and has a small removable shelf to access the music box parts. It comes with a certificate of guarantee ( Certificato di Garanzia ) and a small key. However, the lock does not seem to work despite the key being able to turn the lock mechanisms. The box has no obvious cosmetic flaws and is in pristine condition. As for brand, most other boxes from Paturzo Giovanni seem to have a San Francisco Music Box branding on the bottom; however, this one is mostly like not of the San Francisco brand due to the lack of branding and having been most likely purchased from Italy directly.
