This Space Age 60s AM Radio holds quality above many of the AM radios of that day. It should, it’s a Panasonic. If you collect radios, clock radios, stereos or other audio equipment, you already know that Panasonic was way ahead of the curve with its aesthetically pleasing, even “pop culture” well-designed equipment.

With its bold red, sleek minimalist look, this Panasonic radio again makes a quality statement with the corner lensed tuning. Huh? Corner lensed tuning allows one to read the tuning from the front of the radio and the top of the radio at the same time. Even, the tuning rod indicator is bent around the “corner” edge of the radio. Nice touch.

Another special quality about this radio that was forward thinking for the time, was to allow it to be used with not only battery power, but also AC outlet power with a two pronged AC power cord, not included. But, I’ve included a free new 9 volt battery inside. And yes, this radio works with exceptionally high volume.
