Based on the design and materials to make this evening bag accompanied by the origin of manufacture based on the tag .... it's from the late 1930's to about 1945 ( in WWII American soldiers would buy these overseas and send them home to their wives and girlfriends) my grandmother had a few of these from my grandfather who was in the Navy....this particular one I found at an antique store..
