True vintage brass postal scale, up to 2 ounces. Great condition for being so old and it still works. Red-tipped needle marking the weight of letter you place in the clamp/clasp. There is a copyrighted Lego under the description: POSTAL RATES, 1STCLASSMAIL .04 PER OUNCE, AIR MAIL .07 PER OUNCE on the front of the piece.On the back is a representation of a Lincoln stamp, with Lincoln written in the lower right corner of picture, and a postal cancelled representation with the date, AUG 1, 7:30 PM 1960 as the date processed, over the cursive written words, Desk Post Office . It does have some minor wear and tare . The brass shows the patina of its age, I did not clean it because cleaning it would have actually diminished the value. An extremely unusual piece! An impressive item to display this is a true peice of history. 4.25 tall and the base is 2 across.True peice of American history!
