* For sale is a vintage tumbler Monkey Frieze Art Glass Crystal Lowball Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA) Replica of the Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickel design.
This tumbler features modernist monkeys cavorting in vines with a checkerboard pattern framing the scene. The dark elements are glossy and slightly raised the frosted areas have a roughened sand blasted feel. The interior is smooth glass and the bottom features the frosted feel.
It is no inscribed like other pieces in the collection however it is marked ©MMA and were sold by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I attached an article about the collection of pieces as one of the photos that can be found in the Fall 2001 bulletin for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
