True 18th century Ethiopian hand carved hand painted wood prayer icon, these were sometimes on display in someones house and sometimes people carried them where ever they went. The idea was you could unfold a prayer alter anywhere if the need should arise.
There's some damage that I don't even know the right words to describe so please look closely at the pictures. It was authenticated by an Ethiopian friend whose a 7th generation religious leader in their community (I don't wanna offend anyone with the wrong specifics)
Idk what condition to call this either, the way I see it, it's age justifies calling it good, so that's what I'm putting down
