Here we have a large pendant necklace by Larry VRBA for Castlecliff, depicting a Mayan god, created in a gold/brass-tone metal, with a long, 24 inch chain. The pendant is signed on the back CASTLECLIFF. It is in excellent condition and deemed to be authentic. I do not know the exact age of this piece, but I believe that it was probably made around the 1970s, while Lawrence (Larry) Vrba worked for Castlecliff. It's bold, it's fun and its just as wearable today as it was when it was made.Castlecliff in the early 70s.

The Castlecliff brand was created in New York by jewelry makers, Clifford First and Joseph Bobley. In the 1950’s, William Markle took the designer helm at Castlecliff. In 1969, Larry Vrba began working for Miriam Haskell.
