Step back in time with these rare, 75-year-old 1948 Japanese menko cards of Takeshi Doigaki, Yasuya Hondo, Toshio Kawanisi, Kazuo Kasahara, and Tetsunosuke Fujiwara. The cards are from the JCM 48: 1948 Headshot/Baseball Back set.
These cards showcase the iconic style of Japanese menko cards, with colorful illustrations & beautiful design on both sides. At about 1.25 x 2.75 , they're a unique piece of baseball history. Menko, a game similar to Pogs, was played roughly, making surviving cards in good condition rare. Refer to the pictures for card condition.
Note that the back features a player’s headshot with the name in English script. Any card front can be found with any back, so matching is rare.
