Three original antique color engravings from the 1862 Manual of the Corporation of the City of New York edited by David T. Valentine. This popular reference guide was a staple of New York life in the mid 1800s, providing valuable information about the city and state as well as numerous current and historical illustrations.

These three colored engravings feature scenes in New York City during the Civil War:

1. Departure of the 69th Regt. N.Y.S.M. Tuesday April 23rd 1861
The Irish Headquarters around St. Patricks Cathedral, cor. Prince & Mott St (measures 6.5 x 8.5 inches)

2. Departure of the 7th Regt. N.Y.S.M. Friday April 19th 1861
View of Broadway, cor. Courtland St. (measures 6.5 x 8.5 inches)

3. State Arsenal in Central Park 57th St.
Troops leaving for the War (measures 4.5 x 6.5 inches)

All three show some mild wear, but the colors and text are still vibrant. Prints were matted by previous owner.
