One Vintage HOERNER BOX FIGURAL Drip Glaze Pottery ASHTRAY

Made in the USA

No date or maker markings

Box figural--also a pottery piece--looks to be connected via a rod and then glazed/fused together with the base

Box feels quite thick; perhaps solid

HEAVY for its size... I assume the middle part is largely solid

MEASURES about 9 in diameter

Box sits a little under 3 tall (at top)

CONDITION: USED ... Quite clean all around... Has some fine scratching and haziness inside on the bottom. I find three chips; one up along the top rim (next to a cigarette resting ridge), and three on the bottom (where it looks like maybe there were bubbles extruding from the glaze that have been worn/chipped off). Box figural is very firmly attached--I at first thought it was all one piece--and in all-around excellent shape.
