With this handmade plate Fenton commemorates the earliest printer of Colonial America. This printing press was set up in Cambridge,Mass.by Stephen Daye in 1638. He printed the first book in English America. The Bay psalm Book - 1640. Plate Number 1-1971 in the annual series of collector's plates by Fenton. Diameter: 8 1/4 inches.
It is a vintage item in very good condition, no defects.
