Here something you don't see every day! A beautiful well preserved and near fully intact Fossilized Ammonite found while hiking Blue Mountain in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate NY. Very rare. To my knowledge there aren't any Ammonite fossils found at that Mountain. It was peeled right out from a cracked Boulder that had a tree root growing through it. It is extremely well intact and intricate. Id love to know more about this Fossil deposit.
This specimen is the size of a dime.
