Botryoidal Fluorite on Amethyst from Nancy Banks Mine, Unaweep District, Mesa County, Colorado. This richly-colored specimen of botryoidal Fluorite is quite unusual in that it forms a sandwich of layers of Fluorite on the outside and amethyst in the middle.

Specemins from this remote Colorado locality were hard to obtain. Please note, I was a miner and a stone dealer in the 90s.
