This small fruit bowl is made from sisal fibers and sweet grass grown naturally in Rwanda and measures 7” across and 2 ½” high. The starburst pattern has red, avocado green and natural colors.
The new basket is made by Odille Nyiraneza, who is a single mother of a son in school and another child who was orphaned. Weaving for the Rwanda Basket Company, a nonprofit organization that is working to restore and heal the people of Rwanda, helps her provide for herself and children, including medical insurance, school fees and clothing.
