Third American edition (print number not stated) hardcover copy of The Master Mind of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs (Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. 1948). The third US edition published following the 1928 first edition (A.C. McClurg & Company) and the 1929 second edition (Grosset & Dunlap). The sixth novel in the beloved science fiction / fantasy adventure series. Jacket protected in new archival sleeve but with moderate to heavy wear, especially around the edges. Liquid damage to covers and chipping, creases and tears around the edges. Boards slightly bowed and with some staining. Corners bumped. Slightly cocked spine though binding remains fairly firm. Some sparse and faint discoloration around outer edges of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
