Saint-Exmin, a Valkyrie warrior looking to prove herself in battle!  In 1980, Danning portrayed an extraterrestrial Amazon named Saint-Exmin in the science fiction film Battle Beyond the Stars. This performance earned her The Golden Scroll Award of Merit from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films.  The film, intended as a Magnificent Seven in outer space, is a pastiche of The Magnificent Seven, the Western remake of Akira Kurosawa's film Seven Samurai. The screenplay was written by John Sayles, the score was composed by James Horner, and the special effects were directed by James Cameron.
