This is my favorite Halloween film in the franchise, other than the 1978 original, thus far. That says a lot since Halloween is my favorite film franchise out there. This sequel to 2018’s Halloween, both directed by David Gordon Green, is by far the most violent and shocking of all the Halloween films, since the bodycount quickly surpasses all of the other Michael Myers Halloween films (pretty hard to beat the bodycount of Halloween III), probably all together even. My favorite part of Halloween Kills is bringing back so many original cast members from the original so they can help explain why Michael Myers can’t be stopped and why even as a senior citizen he has the strength and agility of a strong center on a college final four team.
