For your consideration is this lovely bowl produced by Arita-Yaki of Japan during the middle of the 20th century. The bowl measures 6 inches in diameter. There are beautifully colored butterflies and chrysanthemums painted upon the interior with a yellow background. The bottom bears the handwritten mark for Arita-Yaki (Gotheborg, mark number 129). There is no mark on the pewter case. The piece is in very good vintage condition with slight abrasions noted on the pewter case. Additionally noted is a crack in the glaze only on the bottom...it is very faint. On the top side are lovely colorful butterflies in flight above chrysanthemum blossoms. It is an absolutely lovely piece.
