This set of 2-handled bouillon cups has a nice scrollwork around the edge of the cup and around the edge of the plate, and there is a fine filigree around the inside and outside of the cup and on the center of the plate. In the scrollwork is a floral design that is hand-painted. The top half of the cup and plate is in a pale yellow, contrasting with the with on the bottom half. Made in Japan about 1940, it is marked on the bottom Meito China and Made in Japan beneath a crown. Holding about 5 oz., the cup measures 5 across and the plate 6.5 . They both are in great condition...no chip or cracks, being only on display and not used. Nice alternative for coffee or tea.
