This is an incredible Royal Doulton The Drummer Boy figurine by Mary Nicoll. The Drummer looks as if he has just finished coming out of a horrible war. His face has some bruising on it and one of his boots is off. He has brown curly hair and is wearing a traditional 1700's soldier's uniform in red, white and black coat, black pants and boots, also black, white top hat with a large traditional military crest in front. He is resting sitting on a tree stump with his leg on top of the drum, cleaning debris out of one of his boots. It looks like he was marching, and his feet are hurting. He has the drum next to him with a leg on it, with a blue canteen water bottle on his side, his backpack and blanket on his back. The figurine is high glazed and it's 8 1/4 tall. The Royal Doulton is displayed at the bottom with the items number HN 2679. This figurine is in mint condition. No chips or cracks. No original box or paperwork. As you can see in the last photo, original retail price is 500.
