Vintage French Soupiere or tureen. Beautiful piece that I bought from a lovely French family that lived in our town for a short while, about 8 yrs ago. Finding tureens with lids is a lucky find. This one has a beautiful lid that I haven’t seen a design like that before. No makers mark, but a 4 stamped into bottom of tureen and lid. I wish I would have asked her more questions about the tureen. There are a few small flaws, a tiny hairline and chip along bottom edge. From my personal collection and it will be a beautiful statement piece to your collection.
