Face background is a little yellow from age, although the patina adds to the gorgeous olden vintage look. This is def vintage tho, but I have no idea how old. Random Internet research is saying the watch can be as old as the 50s. Crystal case covering face & stainless steel back. Watch made in Switzerland, and band is made in USA. Band stretches.

The back says; Hawthorne Watch co. 1004. Antimagnetic Incabloc. Waterproof. Swiss Made. Stainless Steel Back.

AUTOMATIC WATCHES (or self-winding watches) require a particular kind of care. If you wear the watch all the time, it will normally power up by the motion of your wrist (however, you may need to manually wind it from time to time to get it fully powered up).
