Offered here is a vintage Taxco sterling cuff with turquoise inlay that weighs 34 grams.
A cutout horizontal section and incised vertical lines between inlays give this modernist design originality and vitality. Low profile but with a nice weight.
It has a 2.5 x 2 shape and 1-1/4 gap.
This is an estate piece with light visible wear. The jeweled front bulges slightly wider than the cuff due to the inlays. It appears to have been welded in place or somehow layered on the cuff. The transitions looks intentional to my eye rather than bent.
The turquoise is likely stabilized, as seen by the greenish gel in the veins of one stone. I cannot swear as to its composition. However, the color is perfect, which is the most important aspect for Native Americans according to this archeologist. /watch?v=KrOfKK3wc2U&t=11s
