The larger version of the Inkwell candleholder designed by Jens Harald Quistgaard for Dansk Design in the 1960s.
Quistgaard, a Danish designer and sculpter, who remained the head designer for the compsny he co-founded for over three decades, brought the cool of Scandinavian design in homeware to America and Japan in the 1960s through to the 1980s.
This simple candle holder is a beautiful example of his clean and articulate designs.
Measures about 5.5 inches tall with diameter of about 5”.
