Used Monopoly Board Game based on the Historic Georgia town of Macon. The City of Macon is in Bibb County Georgia and is about 85 miles south of the state capitol of Atlanta. Macon, whom's City Hall was once the Temporary State Capitol of Georgia during the Civil War, has a vast southern history and retains true southern heritage. The Hay House featured on the Game Cover was constructed during the late 1850's and is considered The Palace of the South. The Cannonball House, also featured on the cover to the Game Cover, got its name from a Union cannonball crashing into it. That's because in 1864, Union forces besieged the town center and occupied the city until the end of the war. In 1871, Mercer University relocates to the city & Bibb Manufacturing opens for business. In 1884 The Academy of Music was constructed, which is now referred to as the Grand Opera House, also featured on the Game Cover.
Truly one of a kind
