Official handbook for the Camp Fire Girls from 1922, tenth printing. The Camp Fire girls was an early competitor with Juliette Low's Girl Guides, later the Girl Scouts. During World War I, Camp Fire Girls sold Liberty Bonds and Thrift Stamps, supported French and Belgian orphans, and earned honors by conserving food. This copy shows some edgewear, some creasing to cover and spine and light soil. Small nick of damage at top of spine, former owner's name on front endpaper. Illustrated throughout. Pages generally clean. 247 indexed pages, 5 x 7 inches.
