“Art Pictures from the Old Testament” is an antique 1st edition hardcover book published in 1894 by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (SPCK). This rare gem features 90 stunning illustrations, bringing to life stories from Noah building the Ark to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The beautiful original drawings were created by renowned artists, including Leighton, Burne-Jones, Poynter, Watts, Armytage, Madox Brown, Solomon, and Holman Hunt, with letterpress by Aley Fox.

The book is bound in grey cloth hardcover with gilt titles and includes “Sunday reading for the young.” Printed by Young & Co. of New York, this edition is a stunning example of 19th-century Christian art and literature.
