Morning Exercises for the Closet: For Every Day in the Year, by William Jay. Volume 1, published by The American Tract Society, New York, no date (mid 1800s). Gold gilt page edges along all three sides.

Bound in blue cloth-covered boards with blind stamped decorations to the front and rear cover boards. Gold gilt embossed decoration to the front cover and gold bands separating the spine into five sections. Title in gilt in section two (from top, down), with decorations in the remaining sections.

8vo. (approx. 5-3/4 x 8 )

Condition:
Very good for age. Some fading along spine, but otherwise very nice. Minor wear to corners of cover boards and spine ends. Text block remains solid and the pages are clean and unmarked. A rare antique religious book in excellent condition for its age.
