This unique material is often thought to be Calcite but is in fact Cavern Aragonite from China. It is brightly fluorescent under shortwave and longwave uv light exposure. This specimen is composed of a lot of smaller fully terminated gemmy crystals tightly packed together in this cluster. The crystals have a high luster and sharp form with excellent transparency and great color saturation. This is a different sort of mineral specimen than most anything else. It has varying shades of honey, amber and gold and looks great when backlit.
