Beautiful large Smoky Amethyst Quartz Partial Skeletal & Elestial, Partial Floater Specimen from Petersen Mountain, Hallelujah Junction area, Washoe Co., Nevada, USA
At almost a pound, this is an amazingly large and beautiful Smoky Quartz is a partially healed specimen with elestial and/ or scepter type attributes, along with skeletal type characteristics as well. Complete with sidecars, one a milky-ish Quartz with Amethyst phantoms, lots of skeletal etchings and rainbows. This specimen may also have dual-phase inclusions (aka enhydros) and the last couple of pictures show macros of some of what I’ve found - or at least stationary bubbles. This large Smoky Quartz is an excellent example of the type of material you can expect to see from this desirable area of Hallelujah Junction on Petersen Mountain and much time can be spent observing this very fine piece. Much better in person!
