This vase was made by the Beaumont Glass Company of West Virginia c. 1930. Beaumont was known for its Fer-Lux clambroth colored glass, which is what the vase and base are made of. The Chintz decoration on the vase and the gold painting show signs of wear. Most of the gold has worn off and the Chintz decoration shows moderate signs of wear. The vase with base measures 8 inches high and both are in excellent condition.History of Beaumont Glass Beaumont Glass was organized by Percy Beaumont in 1890 in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Percy immigrated from Birmingham, England in 1882, and under the tutelage of Harry Northwood (founder of Northwood Glass in Wheeling), established himself as a talented chemist and metalworker. He gained additional experience as a foreman and manager of the Northwood factory before going into business on his own. Percy's sister was married to Harry Northwood.
