This incredible Haeger modern vase was designed by Alrun Guest Osterberg. Alrun was a mid century designer who came from Germany to work for Haeger Potteries. She brough t several European glazing techniques to the United State s including the glaze on this piece which was known as decorated or ange. You can see that this vase is a beautiful example of this style of or ange drip glazing.
The vase stands just about 7 1/2 tall. The circumference of the bulb of the vase is 23 inches. The opening of the vase is 3 a cross. T he b ase is 3 across. The neck of bowl at its narrowest is 7 1/2 a round. It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, fractures, cracks, or crazing. Only has small paint chips in some black areas as shown in pictures.
I believe this came from the Words & Music store in the UK 70s era.
