“Photoplay” hardcover edition (print number not stated) of 42nd Street by Bradford Ropes (Grosset & Dunlap, 1932). Scarce edition with stills from the 1933 film on endpapers. Print date not specified beyond original copyright date of 1932. Likely printed in 1933 or shortly thereafter. An ex-library copy with stamp to first page of Chapter 1 and on endpapers. Staining to boards and moderate wear around the edges - including bumped and frayed edges/corners. Cocked spine and several instances of split binding, though all pages remain attached. Missing most of DJ save for front liner flap which has been glued to front end paper. Staining to outer edges of pages which extends deeper into pages in a few instances (the worst of which is shown above, on p. 263). See photos for condition.
