This is a rare, vintage 2 Volume set of early 1900’s hardback publication of Barbary Rudge by Charles Dickens. This is the Broadstairs edition of the book, which was a limited edition printing of 250 books done by MacDonald and Sons for the Edinburgh Society. (Books are not numbered) The books contain plate illustrations by Felix Darley, a well known American illustrator for his work on books by authors such as Dickens and Cooper and has had his art on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery in the United States.
Volume II does have some staining on edge of front and back cover and edges of some of pages does not affect reading.
Both in very good shape for age.
