Lot of three vintage hardcover books from the S.S. Van Dine Detective Library series published by Charles Scribner’s Sons in 1928. All are first printings of this edition. Set contains:
The Cask - Freeman Willa Crofts
The Rasp - Philip MacDonald
The Sign of Four - Arthur Conan Doyle
The Big Bow Mystery - Israel Zangwill
The last two listed here are combined in one volume. Antique mystery / thriller / suspense / detective stories in an appealing edition with raised and embossed imagery on covers and spine. Some rubbing to covers with faint discoloration in places. Corners and spine ends bumped. A few instances of mildly split binding but spines remain straight and binding is fairly firm on the whole. All pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
