A stunning Christmas decoration. This is a unique original design sampler quilt using appliques, machine embroidery, trapunto and piecing. There are hand cut appliques (candy canes, mittens, stockings, ornaments); die cut appliques (reindeer squares, holly and mini trees); a trapunto star; pieced Christmas tree and Lone Star blocks; embroidered snow flakes. The outside border is a double mitered finish of silver stars on a mottled blue field. There are Swarovski crystal accents on several blocks. The backing is royal blue. This quilt can be hung on a wall or used as a throw. inspired by a package of blue shaded fat quarters.
Constructed from cotton fabrics and batting. Free motion quilted by machine. It measures 56 1/2 inches wide by 70 1/2 long.
