Established during the reign of the Emperor Guangxu (1875-1908) in the Qing Dynasty, the Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong (CAAHK) has a history of more than 130 years. On the basis of the Hong Kong branch of the Guangdong Professional Union for Cantonese Opera Performers, the CAAHK was re-registered as a professional organization for Cantonese Opera performers Hong Kong in 1953.
